- An online set of resources which includes: a virtual tutor, an e-book with all student pages, games for practice, a glossary, virtual manipulatives, and songs that reinforce skills and procedures.
- The student can access these resources from home and school through the Millburn website
- Interactive lessons and manipulatives are used each day during class lessons
- A rigorous vocabulary level and set of cards to use

Students identify the ways math is used daily. Each Friday students submit an example s/he feels is unique or not often thought about by fellow students. After a reading aloud of submissions, the top three voted upon items will be entered in a raffle for which a prize is awarded (non monetary and not eligible for taxes).
Unit 5 Multiplication with Double digits
Math facts are still in need of practice. Weekly quizzes and competitions will help sharpen these skills. Remember that several online resources give enjoyable repetition and self competitive games to strengthen adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing facts.

Story problems and writing the steps to solving them is good practice for our standardized tests in the spring. Have your youngster talk aloud daily math problems that enter her/his life when you are about. the more a student can verbalize the better chance s/he has to communicate it in writing.
