    GUIDELINES FOR COVID LIKE SYMPTOMS

    • Testing is no longer required for students/staff member going home with COVID like symptoms.
    • Testing is not required for students/staff member to return to school if they have been out sick
    • Student/staff member may return to school once they are feeling better and symptoms have been resolving for 24 hours.
    • Must be fever free (under 100) for 24 hours (unmedicated).
    • Must be vomiting and diarrhea free for 24 hours (after last episode).

     

    IF A STUDENT/STAFF TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID

    • Please inform the nurse in the Health Office staff.
    • Student/staff member may return as long as they are feeling better and symptoms are resolving for the last 24 hours. You should also be fever free (under 100* WITHOUT medication) for 24 hours.
    • A recommendation of wearing a mask for at least 5 days upon returning to school still exists.
    • AGAIN, a negative Covid test is not required for students or staff to return to school.

     

    COVID POSITIVE FAMILY MEMBER

    • Exposed student/staff may come to school as long as they are fever and symptom free as described above.
    • CDC states that due to new variants of Covid and a person’s immunity status, reinfection IS possible as early as several weeks after a previous infection.
