I was born, raised and still live in McHenry County. After high school, I went to McHenry County College for a few years before moving on to North Park University in Chicago, IL. I graduated in 2001 with a baccalaureate in Biology and a 6-12 teaching certification. I remain certified to teach Biology, Botany, and General Sciences for high school, and Science and Social Sciences for middle School. I completed my master's program in 2008, earning an MA in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL.
At Millburn since 2002, I've mostly taught 7th grade Science, Social Studies, a few years of 7th grade Math and one year of 8th grade Social Studies. Before Millburn, I taught a year at Grant High School, Biology and General Science.
When I'm not working, I like to hang out with friends and family, read pretty much anything, watch documentaries, the Walking Dead, true crime, and Deadliest Catch.
